![]() They are so bad in so many ways that I could honestly write an entire review just on how bad the stealth sections are. The forced stealth sections are so poorly designed they shouldn't even be in the game. It's almost like the entire game is one long tutorial and once you've learned how to use everything, it's just over.Ħ. In fact you usually learn how to do something (like wall jumping) use it once or twice and then not really see it again. The combat system has a lot of depth and variety, but it takes a lot of powerups to complete all the systems, but the game is so short you barely get to use them all. Likewise the higher difficulty options may take longer simply because: if it took you 5 minutes of shooting the boss in the head on normal it's going to take you 10 minutes on hard to dump extra bullets into the sponge.ĥ. ![]() If you get stuck repeating areas it will obviously take longer, but that's not "more content" that's you repeating the same. The game is somewhat short, depending on your skill level it's maybe 60 to 90 minutes of actual play area. I won't harp too much on the dumb story, this is just a budget shooter, I'm just saying don't expect any of it to make sense outside of "we did this cuz a 5 year old would think it's cool"Ĥ. The kind of nonsense where a black hole can be sitting in the sky above you and it's strong enough to suck in airplanes from the other side of the world, but you and the things closer to it are just fine, because, plot armor. Enemies are bullet sponges, the bosses are bigger bullet sponges that sometimes refill their health bar after you kill them so you get to kill them twice, because what's more fun than a big bullet sponge than a big bullet sponge with double the health? It can be kind of immersion breaking to be given a sniper rifle and then still need to shoot someone 10 times in the head before he dies.ģ. Level design is linear corridors, you have enough space to slide around for dodges but there's no exploration or strategic options to approach combat.Ģ. However, that still comes with some pretty big notes, if you're expecting anything beyond that:ġ. Judged purely as a low budget shooter, it's fun with interesting combos and powerups and if that's all you want from a game you wouldn't need me to say anything else about it. With that noted let me continue more in the direction I was originally going before being stuck and it's this: ![]() It crashes frequently, this may get fixed some day, though it is built in UE4, which is crash prone for some people no matter what. I don't think this can be fixed without a redesign.Ģ. (and when I'm not getting stuck in terrain, the enemies are which detracts from the combat fun) the world is just janky with too many invisible walls and and poor AI pathing. I keep getting stuck in terrain, which requires restarting from a checkpoint. I started to think about how to word that and make it clear that this is a budget shooter and don't expect much beyond that.īut then the paint chips away and the problems start adding up and I'm sitting here wondering why am I trying to make excuses for what is a flawed game? There's at least two massive problems that I just can't forgive:ġ. I was about an hour deep and thinking I'd probably recommend this despite some flaws due to the reasonably low price. The combat is fun and chaining combos together doesn't get old. Let me start off by saying I was enjoying this at first.
